Executive Bio
Mr. Mark C. McCullough has been an Executive Vice President of Generation at American Electric Power Co., Inc. since January 1, 2011. Mr. McCullough serves as Vice President at Appalachian Power Company and Public Service Company of Oklahoma. He served as the Senior Vice President of Fossil and Hydro Generatio at American Electric Power Co. Inc., from February 2008 to December 31, 2010. He served as the Vice President of Baseload Generation at AEPSC from June 2005 to February 2008. He oversaw plant engineering and environmental services, asset and outage planning and technical skills and process optimization. He has worked his entire career at AEP. He joined in 1981 at AEP's Tanners Creek Plant in Lawrenceburg, Ind. He held a variety of positions at Tanners Creek, including maintenance superintendent and operation superintendent, before being named Assistant Plant Manager at AEP's Amos Plant in St. Albans, W.Va., in 1994. He served as a Manager of Northern Region Service Organization from 1995 to 1997, where he was responsible for the management of scheduled outages and major project work for more than 10,000 MW of coal- fueled generation. He served as a Manager of Strategic Planning, Power Generation, leading the AEP Generation merger team and developing, coordinating and tracking strategic initiatives for AEP's Power Generation Group since 1997. Mr. McCullough served as a Region Director of Region 2, Wholesale Generation with responsibility for AEP's generation in Ohio and West Virginia since 2000. He served as a Region Director of Ohio, Unregulated Generation since 2002. He has been Director of Electric Power Research Institute, Inc. since April 2015. He serves as a Director of Indiana Michigan Power Company, Southwestern Electric Power Company, Public Service Company of Oklahoma, Ohio Power Company and Appalachian Power Company. Mr. McCullough holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
