Mr. Joseph E. Sweeney, also known as Joe, has been the President of Advice & Wealth Management Products and Service Delivery at Ameriprise Financial, Inc. (formerly, American Express Financial Advisors) since May 2009. Mr. Sweeney served as the President of Financial Planning, Products and Services of Ameriprise Financial Inc. since September 2005 and served as its General Manager of Banking, Brokerage and Managed Products from April 2002 to 2005 and Executive Vice President from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Sweeney oversees brokerage, managed products, consumer banking and home and auto insurance. In 2005, he led the operations effort in Ameriprise Financial's transition to an independent, public company. He served for 22 years with Ameriprise Financial Inc. Known for creating significant improvements in revenue, net income and margin, he has served in many senior leadership positions, including: Senior Vice President and General Manager of Banking, Brokerage and Managed Products, Ameriprise Financial Inc., since 2005, Senior Vice President of Business ransformation, Global Financial Services of Ameriprise Financial Inc. from 1998 to 2003, Vice President of Business Processes, Global Network Services from 1997 to 1998, Vice President of Quality and Reengineering, Travel Related Services from 1995 to 1997. He serves as a Director of Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. Mr. Sweeney holds BA Economics, Magna Cum Laude Saint Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire.
