Executive Bio

Mr. Thomas A. Deeney has been Vice President of Corporate Compliance & Auditing of Ametek Inc. since September 27, 2004. Mr. Deeney was named Director, Corporate Compliance and Auditing in 2001. He previously served as Director, Corporate Compliance, a position he held since 1996. His background includes extensive experience in internal audit, government contract accounting, compliance, and environmental, health and safety (EH&S) regulations. Mr. Deeney joined Ametek in 1989 as a Liaison Controller with responsibility for a number of divisions as well as company-wide responsibility for government contract compliance. In 1996, he was named Director of Corporate Compliance, overseeing AMETEK's compliance with government contracts, EH&S regulations and product liability matters. Prior to Ametek, Mr. Deeney spent eight years on the Corporate Audit staff of RCA in various positions, ending as Director, Auditing. He later held several managerial positions with GE Aerospace with responsibilities for government accounting and contract compliance. Mr. Deeney holds a BA in Accounting from Rutgers University from 1971 to 1975 and an MBA from Temple University from 1978 to 1981. Mr. Deeney is a Certified Public Accountant from state of NY in 1981.
