John Barrett — Resident Managing Director of Los Angeles Operations at Aon plc

John Barrett has been Resident Managing Director, Los Angeles Operations of Aon Corp. since February 21, 2007. Mr. Barrett served as Managing Director and Office Head, Los Angeles of Marsh. In that role, Mr. Barrett led a team of more than 400 employees and oversaw the growth operations in the greater Los Angeles area. Mr. Barrett serves as chairman of the board of directors for the Los Angeles March of Dimes. Mr. Barrett served as casualty account executive handling large risk management accounts of Marsh in 1986. Mr. Barrett served as Client Executive Practice Leader (CEPL) of Marsh, where he oversaw sales and relationship development, financial management, service management, and staff and professional development in 2001. Mr. Barrett served as Client Executive Practice Leader, southwest zone of Marsh comprised of five offices in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. Mr. Barrett served as board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America, Insurance Brokers Association of the West, and Pepperdine University. Mr. Barrett held a number of senior retail brokerage positions of Marsh. Mr. Barrett holds a B.S. in marketing from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A. from Pepperdine.
