How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
not difficult
Depends on what department you work in and time of year. If you are trying to go live with a client you might be working 20hr days to get the job done correctly. Aon expects they come first in your life for any reason, period.
How's the feedback proccess at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
On a scale of 1 to 10, negative infinity. Feedback and annual review is a 100% complete waste of time for everyone involved, period.
Feedback is a joke. You are asked to perform a self evaluation annually and we go through the minutia like any of it matters. Then your boss is "given" $4,000 to dole out as payraises to 15 people. The company could scrap the annual review and just give everyone a 2% COLA raise every year and still save money. Your manager might be interested in helping you advance your career, but no one else is. Where ever you land coming in the door is where you will stay until you die, or leave.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
Get placed through a temp agency
Graduate from an IVY, PAC10+ or SEC college. The recruiters and management refuse to hire anyone actually qualified and for those that are truly gifted or skilled, the turn over rate is atrocious, over 50% in 2 years.
How secure do you feel at your job at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
Good, despite the general air of negativity one simply doesn't get fired from Aon unless you are a complete failure.
100% secure. Of course, doing your job is a requirement but that is life.
How's the morale at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
Piss poor
Pretty good morale overall, the people and clients are fun to work with for the most part.
What unique perks and benefits does AON SERVICE CORPORATION provide?
NONE AT ALL compared to other companies.
Almost none, health insurance is almost completely paid for by the company though. Everything else has been stolen from the employees. From discounted lunches to quarterly employee engagement luncheons, everything that might remotely be considered a perk is gone. They don't have layoffs though, so unless you are a total screw up, this could be the last company you work for.
How much diversity is there among employees at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
WIDE, Aon is proud of the fact that they value diversity over any actual work being performed. If you want to go to a job site and talk to coworkers and play on the computer most of the day, this place is for you!
100% Aon is more focused on Diversity than getting work done correctly.
What kind of people succeed at AON SERVICE CORPORATION?
Yale, Harvard, SMU, TAMU, RICE graduates, everyone else is discriminated against. You either paid $500k for your bachelors degree or you will be disrespected and treated like trash.
The only people that succeed are IVY league, SEC or Pac10 grads. If you didn't graduate from SMU or TAMU at the very least you will have a long road ahead of you, that is assuming of course you can even get hired. Promotions are based on class status and graduation certificate, never on merit.
What benefits does AON SERVICE CORPORATION provide?
Job security and below market wages. The rest are available of course, at a cost. If you're looking for great paid benefits and income, look somewhere else.
How does AON SERVICE CORPORATION make decisions around promotions?
What promotions? The only people getting promotions are those that paid $300k+ for their degree. The decision for which officer to promote is based on how many dinners and parties they attended with senior leadership. Absolutely NONE of it is skill based.
