Community Impact and Philanthropy

Aptar is committed to social, environmental and
economic sustainability. In order to continually achieve
our vision, it’s essential to consider social responsibility
and work to build an ethical practices roadmap.
In 2010, Aptar joined Sedex, an online platform
that offers an assessment of social sustainability
performance and provides members with standardized
metrics in this area. This drives our improvements
in ethical and responsible business practices within
the global supply chain. Aptar has various customers
and suppliers who oversee our social responsibility
implementation through the Sedex platform. Many
Aptar sites share local social actions with customers
and suppliers through the platform. Sites are able
to access services, guidance and training to map
and manage risks in their supply chains.
In 2019, an initiative began to engage all Aptar sites
on the Sedex system. With this we will be able to
create a social action plan to advance our corporate
social responsibility. We look forward to sharing our
progress on this initiative.
