Mr. Gary P. Muto has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Ascena Brands at Ascena Retail Group, Inc. Mr. Muto serves as Chief Executive Officer and President at ANN, Inc. He has more than 25 years of experience. Mr. Muto served as the President of Brands at ANN INC. from March 16, 2014 to October 2015. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of ANN Brands for Ascena Retail Group, Inc. since October 2015. He was responsible for design, merchandising, marketing and stores for Ann Taylor, LOFT and Lou. Mr. Muto served as the Brand President of LOFT Division at ANN Inc. from November 11, 2008 to March 14, 2014. He added oversight for the Ann Taylor brand in 2014 and launched Lou & Grey in 2013. Mr. Muto led all aspects of ANN's LOFT Division. He also assumed responsibility of the ecommerce channel in 2014 as ANN INC. migrated to its multi-channel platform. He served as the President of Gapbody and Gap Adult of The Gap, Inc. from April 19, 2007 to November 11, 2008. Mr. Muto served as the President of Gap Brand of The Gap, Inc. from August 2002 to April, 2004. He served as the President of New Fourth Brand of The Gap, Inc. since September 2004 and President of Forth & Towne until April 19, 2007. He served as the President of Gap U.S., oversaw the entire domestic Gap organization. Mr. Muto served as the President of Banana Republic Brand at The Gap, Inc. from 2001 to 2002, Executive Vice President Banana Republic Merchandising from 1999 to 2001 and Senior Vice President Merchandising from 1993 to 1999. Mr. Muto began his career with The Gap, Inc. in 1988 as a Merchandise Manager in Gap brand. Mr. Muto was a Group Buyer with Abraham & Straus. He received a BS in Marketing from St. John's University in New York.
