There is pressure to sell, which often pits employees against each other. The environment is highly competitive, not always in a positive way.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The company itself is struggling. There are fewer payroll hours available to do just as much work. It is hard to have the store looking like it should while offering the customers the service they should have.
