Grethe Rasmussen Ph.D. — Senior Vice President of Product Development and Member of Executive Board at Ascendis Pharma A/S

Dr. Grethe Rasmussen Ph.D. serves as a Senior Vice President of Product Development and Member of an Executive Board of Ascendis Pharma A/S and served as its Vice President of Product Development and Alliance Management. Dr. Rasmussen is responsible for the manufacturing activities within Ascendis Pharma from early phase process development to commercial scale manufacturing. In addition, Dr. Rasmussen is responsible for alliance management to partners and contract manufacturing organizations. She joined Ascendis Pharma from a position as Managing Director of Maxygen's 100-people subsidiary in Denmark. Prior to that, Dr. Rasmussen held a position at Maxygen as Vice President, Protein Science where she was responsible for process development of protein-based pharmaceuticals, manufacturing of clinical material and preparation of CMC sections for regulatory submissions to US and European authorities. Prior to her biotech experience, Dr. Rasmussen also had 11 years of international experience at Novo Nordisk A/S, where she contributed to research and development in the field of protein chemistry and managed various protein chemistry departments. Dr. Rasmussen holds Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Danish Technical University.
