Save games randomly freeze when loading

Some users have reported this issue, and we’re actively trying to replicate it consistently to identify the root cause.

Within your Android device's File Manager, go to:

    Android>data>com.aspyr.swkotor>files

Make a backup of the "saves" and "override"(if you have an override folder) folders.

Then delete all files and folders in your "files" directory.

Copy back your "saves" and "override" folders into the "files" directory.

Note: This workaround resets the options to their default values.

The play screen is hard to navigate

You can move your character with your hand gestures from nearly anywhere on the screen. We position our hand to the far left or right of the screen for the best gameplay experience.

Error 905 or 'May Not Have Purchased' message

Setting your device to Airplane mode, then deactivating Airplane mode can usually fix the problem.

Otherwise, you can clear the Google Play Services and Store Caches.

Go to Settings > Apps > Click on Google Play Services > Storage > Clear Cache.

Repeat the same steps for the Google Play Store app.

Restart your device and relaunch the Google Play app to reinstall Knights of the Old Republic.

For Steam players who remain on Mojave, you will be able to access your 32-bit Aspyr titles purchased on Steam. We will continue to support our 32-bit games on Linux, so if you have any issues please reach out to our support team via support.aspyr.com.

Even with this change, it’s important to note that many of the titles we offer today are already 64-bit or will be in the near future, and will work on Catalina.

A: The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod is a mod for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II that is intended to “restore” some game content that, for various reasons, never made it into the final release. The mod also addresses and fixes some bugs in the game. It is by far the most popular mod for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II.

However, as it is a mod, it is not at all required to play or enjoy the game. Like any other mod, it simply tweaks the game to provide a slightly different gameplay experience.

IMPORTANT: The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod will NOT work with an in-progress game. You will need to start a new game to enjoy the content from this mod. Likewise, if you remove the mod in the middle of an in-progress game, you will no longer be able to continue that particular playthrough until the mod is re-installed and re-activated.

Q: Is it possible to transfer saved game progress from Windows PC over to Mac (or Linux)?

A: Yes, saved game data will work cross-platform. You can manually move the file from one platform to another, or you can use the newly added Steam Cloud functionality.

Please note that if you’re transferring saved game data that has been created using a modded game, you must have the exact same mods installed on the platform you are transferring to in order for it to work.

Q: What languages does Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II support?

A: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II features full support for English, French, and German; and offers text support for Italian and Spanish.

    My Game is Running Slow

Make sure that your video/graphics settings are set to default.

When you are experiencing slow performance, you can take a full-window screenshot (command+Shift+3) or cycle between windows (command+Tab) to workaround this issue.

Downloadable Content or In-App Purchases aren’t showing up in the game

    Mac App Store

Log out of your Mac App Store app account and restart your Mac.

Relaunch Civilization VI and your downloadable content should then display properly within the game.

    Steam

Right click Civilization VI from the Steam Library menu and select Properties.

Under the Local Files tab, select Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Once that completes, relaunch Civilization VI and your downloadable content should then display properly within the game.

Unable to join a LAN game between a Mac App Store and Steam Mac player

Steam Mac and Mac App Store players cannot connect via LAN at this time.

Text is appearing scrambled or otherwise unreadable

This issue can be resolved by disabling the Steam Overlay.

    To Disable the Steam Overlay

Open the Steam client and navigate to the Steam > Settings/Preferences > In-game tab. Uncheck the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.

The audio is only present in Chinese, regardless of the language settings

This is a result of running the game on a case-sensitive formatted hard drive. We recommend partitioning your hard drive and reformatting that partition to the OSX standard Journaled HFS+ or APFS using your Disk Utility app and installing the game there.

  • Before making any purchase, it’s important that you make sure that the game you choose is compatible with your computer.

How do I check my if my computer is compatible with a game?

To start, you will need to check the game’s Minimum System Requirements. These are listed in the App Store description or the Steam Store page. Minimum System Requirements tell you the lowest supported hardware for the game.

Once you know the Minimum System Requirements, you will then need to compare those to you computer. To do this follow these steps:

Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen and select 'About this Mac'

Your System Information app will launch showing you the main info we look for in one screen (CPU/Processor speed, Graphics Card info, RAM)

If needed, you can click System Report to get more detailed information

Then, compare your computer to the Minimum System Requirements. If you computer does not meet or exceed the Minimum System requirements, we advise that you do not purchase the game as it will inevitably lead to instability and performance issues.

If you are not sure if your computer meets the Minimum System Requirements, please open a ticket with us here, and we’ll be happy to help.

  • Our goal is to get you back in your favorite games as soon as possible. Nine times out of ten one of the steps can solve your issue and get you back to playing the game.

Follow these 7 quick steps for quick fixes to get you back in the game.

    1. Restart Your Computer/Device (Any Platform)

We know this is a very common step when troubleshooting, but it never hurts to mention it :)

    2. Begin a new save (Any Platform)

If the issue involves gameplay, it is usually a good idea to try a new save slot and see if the issue continues. If the issue doesn’t continue, then you’re good to go.

Occasionally save files become corrupted, and unfortunately we’re unable to recover them.

    3. Verify your game files (Steam Games)

Steam offers a quick way to make sure all your game files are installed correctly. Which you can easily do by following these steps:

    Open Steam

    Click on the Library Tab

Right Click on [GAME NAME], and select Properties

    Click Local Files

Click Verify Integrity of Game Files

    4. Perform First Aid on your hard drive (Mac only)

Disk Utility can fix certain disk problems. For example, multiple apps quit unexpectedly, a file is corrupted, an external device doesn’t work properly, or your computer won’t start up.

    Go to Applications/Utilities

    Open the Disk Utility app.

Select your Hard Drive, then First Aid from the top of the menu.

Once that finishes, restart your Mac.

    5. Log in and out of your Storefront Account (Mac/Windows)

Some In-App Purchases or DLCs will need to be verified when launching. If your purchases are not appearing in-game, it is best to sign out and back into your Steam or App Store account.

    6. Disconnect Bluetooth and USB Devices (Mac/Windows)

If you are experiencing audio or start up issues, try disconnecting all Bluetooth/USB devices except you mouse and keyboard.

    7. Reinstall the application (Any Platform)

Typically this is the last troubleshoot we try before we continue investigating an issue.

If none of these are helpful, don’t worry, we’re here to help! Please sign-in and submit a General Troubleshooting ticket to HERE.

    General

What is Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is the definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery game Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America), originally developed by Quantic Dream. This newly remastered edition features updated graphics, full controller support, and is based on the uncut/uncensored international version of the game.

    What’s with the name?

To make a long story short, because the game is known as Indigo Prophecy in North America and Fahrenheit in the rest of the world, we simply combined them to reduce any potential confusion with the new version. The name’s a little longer, but we think it works quite well.

Is this the full, uncensored version of the game?

You bet. There is absolutely no cut or censored content in this version. Consider this the definitive version of Quantic Dream’s vision.

Was Quantic Dream involved in the port?

While we at Aspyr Media did all of the technical work, the lovely folks at Quantic Dream gave us invaluable feedback during the process (as well as their blessing).

Cool. So who is Aspyr Media, exactly?

We specialize in bringing AAA and fan-favorite games to new platforms. Our historical focus has been on the Mac operating system, though we have branched out in recent years to include iOS, Android, Linux, and, now with Fahrenheit, even Windows! You can learn more about us at http://www.aspyr.com.

What’s new in the Remastered version?

    Updates to the game include:

    Remastered HD graphics

New touch-based control scheme for phones/tablets

Full controller support across ALL platforms

    Seamless switching between graphical modes

How have the graphics been improved?

Our primary focus was increasing the texture detail and image resolution. We gave every texture in the game a facelift, in many cases increasing the detail by 4x. With native support for resolutions up to 28801800 (the original was capped at 1024768), as well as true widescreen support, this is the best looking version of Fahrenheit you can get. (Note: To fit within the 2GB size restriction on iOS, the mobile version contains only textures twice the size.)

On which platforms can I play the game? How much does it cost?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad), Windows, Mac, and Linux. It sells for $9.99/8.99/6.99 on all platforms.

Is there an Android version in the works?

Yep, an Android version is currently in the works, though we don’t have any further information to provide (such as an ETA) at this time.

Are there any differences between the mobile and desktop versions of the game?

All versions of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered have the exact same game content and features, no matter which platform you play it on.

If I buy both the mobile and desktop versions of the game, can I play one version and continue my game on the other?

Sorry, due to platform restrictions, we can’t support synced game saves between mobile and desktop versions. However, you will be able to sync game saves between all desktop platforms and between iOS devices.

Which languages does the game support?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered features full support for English, French, German, and Spanish. This includes full audio, subtitles, and user interface. (Note: Mobile users will need to download non-English language audio content via free In-App Purchase.)

I’m having technical difficulties with the game. Who do I contact for support?

Whether you’re having trouble downloading the game, are running into crashes, or are experiencing any other bugs on ANY platform, Aspyr Support will be more than happy to assist you in any way they can. Please visit http://support.aspyr.com to open a support ticket or start a live chat with one of our representatives.

    Mobile (iOS)

What are the hardware requirements to play Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered on iOS?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered requires iOS 7 or newer. As for hardware, the game is compatible with iPad 2, iPad mini, and iPhone 5 and newer. THE GAME WILL NOT RUN WELL ON EARLIER DEVICES!

    Is the iOS version universal?

Absolutely. You only need one copy of the game to play on iPhoneandiPad.

Can I transfer saved game data between iOS devices?

Yes, game data may be synced between iOS devices using iCloud. iCloud saves can be uploaded to the cloud at any time by tapping the iCloud upload button on the main menu. Please note only one save can be available on the cloud at any time. Once a save is in the cloud, the save can be accessed on any device that that iCloud account is logged into.

I saw the game supports French, German, and Spanish but I’m only hearing English. What gives?

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered on iOS comes with subtitles for French, German and Spanish. However, to access localized audio, you’ll need to download a Language Pack via a FREEIn-App Purchase. This audio can be downloaded at any time. On the main menu, tap the Languages icon to download the Language Pack. This will require 1GB of free space on the device.

How do I switch between the old and new graphics?

This can be done any time by tapping the HD/SD icon that it is on screen.

What controllers are supported and/or have been tested for iOS?

While there are other controllers not listed that might work, below is what is officially supported.

iOS Tested on MadCatz CTRLi, Logitech PowerShell, MOGA REBEL, MOGA ACE POWER, SteelSeries Stratus

    Desktop (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Where can I purchase Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered for Windows, Mac, and/or Linux?

The game will be available on all platforms through Steam. Furthermore, Steam codes may be purchased from various online retailers, such as Aspyr Media’s online store GameAgent.com. Mac users also have the option of purchasing a non-Steam version from the Mac App Store.

So is this a Steam Play game?

Yes, purchasing the Steam version will grant you access to the game on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. (Please note that the Mac App Store version is NOT included as part of the Steam Play feature.)
