Russell Brown Brewer II — Chief Surveillance Officer at Assured Guaranty

Mr. Russell Brown Brewer, II, has been the Chief Surveillance Officer at Assured Guaranty Ltd. since November 2009 and of Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp (formerly, Financial Security Assurance Inc) since July 2009. Mr. Brewer serves as the Chief Surveillance Officer of Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd. and Assured Guaranty Corp. Mr. Brewer served as Managing Director of Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd. (now Assured Guaranty Municipal Holdings Inc) since May 1999 and served as its Chief Underwriting Officer. Mr. Brewer served as a Managing Director of Financial Security Assurance Inc., since March 1989 and as its Chief Risk Management Officer since September 2003 until July 2009. He oversaw the Corporate Research and Transaction Oversight departments, as well as the risk management and operations functions within FSA's Financial Products business. He served as the Chief Underwriting Officer of Financial Security Assurance Inc., from September 1990 to September 2003. From March 1989 to August 1990, Mr. Brewer served as Managing Director of Asset Finance Group at FSA. Mr. Brewer joined FSA in 1986 and played a leading role in developing the use of financial guarantees for asset-backed securities. Prior to FSA, he served as an Associate Director of Moody's Investors Service Inc. He served as a Director at Financial Security Assurance Holdings Ltd., and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp since July 2009. Mr. Brewer serves as a Director of Assured Guaranty Re Ltd. and Assured Guaranty Corp. He served as a Director of FSA since September 1993. Mr. Brewer holds a BA from Colby College and an MBA from New York University.
