Mr. David Bent, also known as Dave, has been Senior Vice President of Information Technology for Avnet Electronics Marketing at Avnet, Inc. since October 2, 2013 and also as Member of global IT leadership team. Mr. Bent is responsible for providing IT leadership for Avnet Electronics Marketing, a global operating group of Avnet, Inc. With more than 30 years of IT experience, he has a wealth of international experience to his new role, served as Chief Information Officer at United Stationers Inc. Prior to United Stationers Inc., he served leadership positions at Visteon Ford and Acterna. His international business acumen was acquired through his experiences during multiple overseas assignments, including four years in the U.K. and 11 years in Germany. Mr. Bent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Bristol, England.
