Kam Cheung Fu — President of Asia Pacific at AVNET INC

Mr. Kam Cheung Fu, also known as Frederick, has been the President of Asia Pacific at Avnet, Inc. since April 4, 2017. Mr. Fu served as Acting President of Avnet Electronics Marketing - Asia and Japan at Avnet, Inc. and Avnet Electronics Marketing Asia since September 30, 2016. Mr. Fu has more than 30 years of experience in the electronics industry across Asia in a variety of positions including engineering, marketing and business management. He served as a Regional President of Avnet Electronics Marketing - China at Avnet Electronics Marketing Asia. Prior to joining Avnet, he worked in various sectors in the electronics industry such as semiconductors IDM, hard disk drive and the EMS business. Mr. Fu served as Deputy Chief Marketing Officer of Surface Mount Technology (Holdings) Limited from May 1, 2006 to January 17, 2008. He served at STMicroelectronics Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. for 14 years and held various senior positions, including those as Marketing Director of Asia Pacific Region from 1992 to 1994, President of Taiwan from 1994 to 2000, Director of Asia Pacific Region from 2001 to 2005 and Vice President & Director of Communication & Multimedia Segment, Greater China Region since 2006. Mr. Fu joined Surface Mount Technology Holdings in May 2006. His experience includes Marketing in Motorola Semiconductor A/P and Engineering Management in Seagate Technology Singapore. Mr. Fu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.
