Mr. Jay D. Sanders has been Executive Vice President of Private Banking at Banc of California, N.A. since February 13, 2017. As the head of the Private Banking Division, he oversees a team of Private Banking Professionals who develop and implement sophisticated credit and banking solutions for its clients. He worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 15 years. He was a corporate and real estate attorney at Loeb & Loeb LLP. Mr. Sanders served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Wealth Management and Fiduciary Services for CIT Private Banking of CIT Group Inc. Mr. Sanders was responsible for overseeing a diverse team of private bankers focused on providing sophisticated credit and banking solutions for Ultra High Net Worth Individuals. While at CIT Bank, Mr. Sanders was responsible for the buildout and strategy of CIT Private Bank. He held a similar position at OneWest Bank prior to its acquisition by CIT Group Inc. in August 2015. Prior to this, he served as a Managing Director with Bank of America Merrill Lynch within its global wealth management and investment division where he built CIT Group's Ultra High Net Worth credit and banking platform. Mr. Sanders worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for Honorable Barry Russell, Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. He is a member of the California State Bar and participates at the board level on several non-profit organizations. He is a member of the California State Bar. He received a BA from the University of Arizona and a JD from Drake University Law School.
