Executive Bio

Mr. James C. Polk serves as Vice Chairman of Residential and Consumer Lending Group of Bank of Hawaii Corporation. Mr. Polk has over 27 years in the financial industry. He joined Bank of Hawaii in 1999 and served in a variety of leadership roles over the years including leadership roles as Manager of Commercial Banking Group, Mortgage Banking Division, Corporate Banking Division and the West Pacific Region. He serves as a Board Member for the Hawaii Medical Service Association, After-School All-Stars Hawaii and Bishop Museum. He has been Vice Chairman of Consumer Banking Group at Bank of Hawaii Corporation since July 2016. He has been a Director of Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum since December 2012. He also serves on the Executive Board for the Aloha Council for the Boy Scouts of America and on the Board of the After-School All-Stars Hawaii. He is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University. Mr. Polk earned his bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
