Ms. Marian Lawson has been an Executive Vice President of Global Financial Institutions and Transaction Banking at The Bank of Nova Scotia since September 05, 2014. Ms. Lawson served as a Managing Director and Deputy Head of Canadian Corporate Banking at Scotia Capital Inc. As Deputy Head of Corporate Banking, she was responsible for relationship management of Corporate Banking clients. In addition, she was responsible for credit execution and ongoing credit management for all clients across Canada. Ms. Lawson began her career with Scotiabank in 1986 in Global Risk Management and has held progressively senior positions in Corporate Banking, Audit, Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets. She serves as a Director of Enwave Energy Corporation. In 2016, she was recognized by the Women's Executive Network (WXN) and awarded the Women in Capital Markets (WCM) Leadership award for her contributions to diversity in the workplace. Ms. Lawson holds a Master of Business Administration Finance from McMaster University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from York University.
