Michael Henry — Executive VP & Chief Data Officer at Bank of Nova Scotia

Mr. Michael Henry, also known as Mike, has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer at The Bank of Nova Scotia since November 2017. Mr. Henry served as Executive Vice-President of Retail Payments, Deposits and Unsecured Lending at The Bank of Nova Scotia since December 1, 2015 until November 2017. Mr. Henry is responsible for designing and delivering financial solutions that drive growth through Scotiabank's Canadian branch network, call centres and digital channels. He joined Scotiabank in 1996 after seven years with another Canadian financial institution. Since joining Scotiabank, he has held progressively senior positions in Product Development, Sales Management, Marketing, Wealth Management and Sales & Service. He served on the Board of Directors for several Scotiabank subsidiaries, is on both Visa Canada's Advisory Board and the Board of Director's for Acxsys Corporation, Interac's parent company and is on the Board of SCENE LP. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business.
