Mr. Barton joined served as the Chief Lending Officer of Banner Bank (Walla Walla, WA), a subsidiary of Banner Corporation since 2008. He joined Banner Bank as Senior Credit Officer in 2002. His banking career began in 1972 with Seafirst Bank and Bank of America, where he served as the Credit Risk Management Executive for the west coast. He served as Chief Credit Officer and Executive Vice President of Banner Corporation. He serves as a Director of Community Financial Corporation. He has been a Director of Islanders Bank since 2007. He is active in the Risk Management Association, a national professional credit organization and a speaker or panelist at local and national events. He is a Member of the Washington Banker's Association Senior Credit Committee. Mr. Barton is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a double degree in political science and economics and holds a Master's degree in political science from the University of Washington. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
