Akshaya Bhargava — Chief Executive Officer of Wealth, Entrepreneur & Business Banking at Barclays Investment Bank

Mr. Akshaya Bhargava is the Chief Executive Officer of Wealth, Entrepreneur and Business Banking at Barclays PLC since March 2016. Previously, Mr. Bhargava served as Chief Executive of Wealth and Investment Management Business at the firm from October 13, 2014 to March 2016. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Barclays Wealth Management since October 2014. Mr. Bhargava co-founded InfraHedge Ltd. in 2010 and served as its Chief Executive Officer, which was acquired by State Street Corporation in 2013. He was responsible for company strategy, strategic partnerships, major client relationships as well as matters of business design and execution. Mr. Bhargava has several years of experience in financial services. He has over twelve years of senior management and board experience. Mr. Bhargava also spent twenty years at Citibank in various roles including global product head for emerging local corporate groups in London and Country Manager and Chairman of the Board in the Czech Republic. He has a track record of strategic development, building world class businesses of scale and leadership. Mr. Bhargava holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
