Mr. Darian Kevin Rich has been Executive Vice President of Talent Management at Barrick Gold Corporation since July 2014. Mr. Rich served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Barrick Gold Corporation since August 26, 2013. He joined Barrick in 2012 and has responsibility for all aspects of global human resources. He has more than 25 years of diversified experience in human resources management. Mr. Rich served as Vice President of Human Resources at Albemarle Corp. since December 1, 2008. In this role, He oversaw all aspects of Albemarle's talent management and performance based compensation strategies. He works to enhance Albemarle's human resource ('HR') management systems and drive increased process automation. He joined Albemarle after twelve years with Coca-Cola, where he held several positions in the U.S. and Asia in both line management and corporate operations. He served as a Vice President of Coca-Cola's International Human Resource Services and developed international human resources strategy for all of the division's business units outside of North America. He served for over six years in the Asia-Pacific region in a variety of roles including Group Human Resources Director for Asia, Eurasia and the Middle East. He served as Director of Human Resources for Magma Copper Mining Company in Arizona. He worked for several years at General Motors Corporation as Senior Labor Relations Representative. He holds several professional certifications, including Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefit Professional and Global Remuneration Professional from the American Compensation Association. Mr. Rich is a graduate of the Labor and Human Relations program at Ohio State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Administration from Central Michigan University.
