Peter Andrew Sinclair — Chief Sustainability Officer at Barrick Gold Corporation

Mr. Peter Andrew Sinclair has been the Chief Sustainability Officer at Barrick Gold Corporation since September 2015. In this role, Mr. Andrew provides strategic advice and support to Barrick's leaders in the field with respect to license-to-operate and corporate social responsibility (CSR) matters. He is also responsible for company-wide CSR and stakeholder engagement activities, along with overseeing the government relations function at Barrick's head office. He has more than two decades of experience in stakeholder relations and international development, Mr. Sinclair joined Barrick in 2005 to establish the company's CSR group. Previously, he held a number of senior management positions with international NGOs, and spent 12 years living and working abroad, including in Swaziland, Rwanda, the Congo, Chechnya, and the UK. Mr. Sinclair represents Barrick on a wide range of multi-stakeholder initiatives and industry associations. Mr. Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and a Masters in International Development from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, England.
