Sham Chotai — Chief Digital Officer at Barrick Gold Corporation

Mr. Sham Chotai serves as Chief Digital Officer of Barrick Gold Corporation. He served as a Senior Vice President of Engineering at KANA Software Inc. Mr. Chotai oversees product management, product development, documentation, and quality assurance for all KANA products. Mr. Chotai has twenty years of engineering and product management experience in the high tech sector. He served as Vice President of Engineering of Knova Software, Inc., ('KNOVA') since April 2006. He has more than 18 years of enterprise software experience leading the development of both applications and core technologies. Prior to joining KNOVA, Mr. Chotai was co-founder, Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering for DecisionView Software, where he conceived DecisionView's analytics technology and was responsible for overall product development and strategy. Prior to DecisionView, Mr. Chotai was Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Imagicast (XperEx), a provider of location based multi-media networks. At Imagicast, Mr. Chotai had responsibility for all hardware and software development, IT operations, and product strategy. He has provided technology leadership to a number of startups and large, public companies, including Cognos Incorporated, Agile Software Corporation, Engage I/PRO, Imagicast, Inc. (XperEx) and Red Brick Systems, Inc. Mr. Chotai holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, with a specialty in adaptive/intelligent control systems.
