Mr. J. Michael Daniel has been the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Bassett Furniture Industries, Incorporated since January 2013, January 2013 and January 2010 respectively. Mr. Daniel served as Vice President of Bassett Furniture Industries, Incorporated since January 2010. He served as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller of Bassett Furniture Industries, Incorporated since April 7, 2009 until December 2009. Mr. Daniel joined Bassett Furniture Industries, Incorporated in December 2006 as a consultant and served as Corporate Controller since March 2007. He was with the international bedding manufacturer, Sealy, Inc., from 1998 to 2006 where he served as Director of Corporate Accounting and Financial Controls. He also worked for the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young from 1985 to 1998 rising to the level of Senior Manager. Mr. Daniel graduated from Appalachian State University with a double major in Accounting and Information Systems. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
