Mr. Gary G. Allison, Jr., has been an Executive Vice President of Engineering at Bazaarvoice, Inc. since December 2013. Mr. Allison is responsible for design, development, quality, deployment and 24x7 operations of its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. he has over 25 years of software engineering expertise, including more than 12 years of executive leadership along with extensive experience in delivery and operations of 24x7 enterprise class SaaS solutions. He led the R&D team at E2Open whose SaaS solution serves the supply chain needs of Fortune 500 companies. Prior to E2Open, he led all Engineering and Data Center Operations for Convio, processing over $1 billion in annual transactions. He served as Vice President of Engineering of Convio, Inc. since May 16, 2007. Mr. Allison served as Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Mezeo Software Corporation (formerly Simdesk Technologies, Inc.). He served as Senior Vice President of Software Development, Data Center Operations and Customer Service of Simdesk Technologies, Inc. Prior to Simdesk, he served as the Vice President of Engineering and Customer Service at Pervasive Software Inc. since May 2002. At Pervasive Software Inc., Mr. Allison served as Vice President, Engineering from July 2000 to May 2002, as Director of Developer Solutions from February 2000 to July 2000, as Director of Software Engineering from October 1998 to February 2000 and as Software Engineering Manager from October 1997 to October 1998. Prior to Pervasive, Mr. Allison served as a Senior software Engineer of DSC Communications Corporation and held various software development and management positions at IBM Corporation. He is active in the Austin technology community providing coaching and mentoring to startups and R&D leaders. Mr. Allison holds a B.S. in computer science from Texas A&M University and an M.S. in software engineering from University of Houston-Clear Lake.
