Mr. Daryl N. Bible has been the Chief Financial Officer of BB&T Corporation since January 01, 2009 and serves as its Senior Executive Vice President. Mr. Bible's responsibilities include accounting, tax, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, capital planning, mergers and acquisitions, enterprise spend management, financial systems, support services and facilities management. He served as an Assistant Chief Financial Officer of BB&T Corporation from January 2008 to December 2008 and served as its Executive Vice President. He oversaw Treasury; Investor Relations; Capital Planning and Shareholder Reporting; Enterprise Spend Management; Management Accounting; Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance; Corporate Tax; Accounting and Financial Reporting; and Value Improvement at BB & T Corp. Mr. Bible served as Treasurer and Executive Vice President of US Bancorp. He managed the Bancorp's investment portfolio and oversaw retail and wholesale pricing of loans and deposits. He also managed U.S. Bancorp's Asset/Liability, Fixed Income Sales and Trading and Derivatives Management units. He has 24 years of financial services experience. Mr. Bible started his career in the Management Development Program at U.S. Bank predecessor Star Banc. He served in a number of key positions prior to treasurer, including financial analyst, asset & liability manager, investment portfolio manager and funds manager. Mr. Bible is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is member of the CFA North Carolina Society. He was named Best Bank Borrower for 2007 by Euromoney magazine. Mr. Bible received Bachelor's and Master's degrees in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
