Executive Bio

Mr. Gray C. Reed serves as the President of The Triangle Market at BB&T Corporation. Mr. Reed oversees the additional areas of the North Carolina counties of Granville, Franklin, Johnston, Harnett and Lee. Mr. Reed has 28 years of banking experience. He joined BB&T in 1997, through the United Carolina Bank merger where he began his career in 1983. During his career at BB&T, he has served as city executive in Raleigh, Cary and Chapel Hill, N.C. He was also a business services officer in Raleigh and Charlotte. He was named as the Triangle regional president in December 2010. He holds B.S. degree in Industrial Relations from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Graduate of NC School of Banking, Chapel Hill, N.C.
