Mr. James T. Daly, also known as Jim, has been President of West Florida Region at BB&T Corporation since March 28, 2017. Mr. Daly served as Community Banking Group Executive of BB&T Corporation and served as its President of North Florida Region since 2004. He has more than 20 years of banking experience. During his 15-year tenure with BB&T, he has served in various leadership positions including, commercial banker, corporate banker and city executive in Greensboro, N.C., and an area executive in Durham, N.C. He was named Hampton Roads Regional President in 2002 and Peninsula Regional President in 2003 following the acquisition of First Virginia Banks Inc. and North Florida Regional President in 2004. He held Current and past affiliations include: Board Member, Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce; Board Member, Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance; Board Member, Virginia Marine Science Museum; Advisory Board Member, Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Mr. Daly studied BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University.
