Mr. Evans served as Eastern Regional President of BB & T Corp. and served as Upstate Regional President since 2005. His previous responsibilities included business services officer of Lexington, N.C.; regional credit officer of Raleigh, N.C.; business services manager of Smithfield, N.C.; city executive of Statesville, N.C.; and retail banking manager of Pinehurst. He served as Treasurer of United Way of Iredell County; Past Vice President Economic Development of Statesville Chamber of Commerce; Past Board Member of United Way of Moore County; volunteer coach youth baseball and basketball; Past Member of Statesville Rotary Club. He graduated from the Management Development Program in 1985. He holds a BSBA from East Carolina University.
