William Rufus Yates III — Senior EVP & Financial Services Manager at BB&T Corporation

Mr. William Rufus Yates, III, serves as the Senior Executive Vice President of BB&T Corporation and serves as its Financial Services Manager. Mr. Yates serves the Chief Executive Officer and President at BB&T Securities, LLC at BB&T Corporation since January 2013. He serves as Senior Executive Vice President and Manager at BB&T Capital Markets Inc., where he is responsible for the corporate banking, loan syndications and interest-rate derivative groups. He served as Capital Market Manager at BB&T Corporation since 2006. Mr. Yates serves on the High Point University Board of Visitors and is an Active Member of the ABA Securities Association, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness. He also holds Series 7, 66 and 24 securities licenses. Mr. Yates earned BA in Economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
