Jeremy King — Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at bebe stores

Mr. Jeremy King has been Chief Technology Officer at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. since August 04, 2016 and served as its Executive Vice President since February 10, 2017. Mr. King served as Senior Vice President at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. since August 04, 2016 until February 10, 2017. Mr. King serves as the Chief Technology Officer at @WalmartLabs and served as its Senior Vice President. He has been on the forefront of cloud computing and has over 20 years of experience building highly available and scalable technology platforms to support global commerce operations. He is an expert on engineering methodology and productivity, developing software as a service (SaaS) technology platforms and presentation layer frameworks. Mr. King served as an Executive Vice President of Technology & Product for LiveOps, Inc. He was responsible for LiveOps On-Demand Call Center Platform and Applications and oversees product management, network operations and engineering. Mr. King served as an Executive Vice President of Technology for LiveOps Inc., since April 3, 2008. He joined LiveOps from eBay where he served as the Leader of The Architecture and Engineering Teams responsible for the eBay Trading platform. He served as Vice President of Engineering & Architecture for eBay and was responsible for its buying, search, selling, stores, advertising, merchandising and security development teams. From 2001 to 2008, he served as Vice President of Engineering and Software Development at eBay. Since joining Walmart in 2011, he has led product, engineering and web ops team members charged with developing Walmart's online business on a global scale. He ran eBay's customer support and trust and safety development teams. During his tenure, eBay's platform scaled to handle more than a 400 percent increase in quarterly transaction volume. Mr. King also drove key initiatives to increase code standardization and quality while dramatically reducing project development efforts, time-to-market and overall efficiency. He served as Chief Technology Officer of Petopia.com, held management and technical roles in web development at Bay Networks and SynOptics Communications. He is still active with the College of Business and Management Information Systems department. He serves as advisory board member for the CTO Forum, an organization that brings together senior leaders across the technology industry to discuss and collaborate on key issues facing the industry and accelerate innovation across organizations. Mr. King has a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from San Jose State University.
