Ms. Karen Roberts serves as an Executive Vice President at Walmart Inc. (formerly known as Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.) and has been its General Counsel since February 1, 2013. Ms. Roberts served as the President of Walmart Realty - Walmart U.S. at Walmart Inc. (formerly known as Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.) until February 1, 2013. She was responsible for Walmart's real estate operations and a portfolio of close to 1 billion square feet. She served as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officerfor Walmart. She managed operations and pharmacy compliance, environmental compliance, immigration and financial services compliance, product safety compliance, food safety and quality assurance, and the privacy office. Since joining the Walmart in 1995, she has served as Vice President and General Counsel for real estate and construction. Prior to joining the legal department at Walmart, she held various business positions within the company, including real estate Manager. Ms. Roberts obtained her B.S. in public administration from Harding University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas.
