What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are very responsive to problems within the organization.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to know and understand music, higher education, and the music industry better. They need to stop out of control growth without a solid financial plan to support it.
Get rid of oeople making huge salaries producing nothing
Grow up and stop with the liberal dribble!!!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Benefits, especially retirement plan, are great. The company-sponsored discount for the MBTA is minor, definitely could be better. I would also appreciate the company picking up a larger portion of the medical insurance.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They should offer better education benefits. They only really support you if you enroll in Berklee Online.
Billionaires are the top managers. Millionaires are middle-management. Despite being unionized, salaries and benefits for faculty are some of the lowest in the country. And we live in one of the most expensive markets in the country
No respect for the little guys.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Colleagues are generally very nice and collaborative. Most people have connections and really love the institution.
Except for the leader, the team is engaged.
Extremely collaborative, and genuinely nice!
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Learn to play and teach.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone's love of Berklee. That's genuine and the students and faculty are amazing.
The students make it worthwhile
The environment is diverse and comfortable. People are treated with respect.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Listen to people. Pay descent wages. Face the fact many policies are exclusionary and fix it. Divest from genocidal state.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Slow but ok. But there is no training for hiring managers so it can be a mess.
It would be great if someone professional was in charge.
What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing I'm supporting such talented students.
When I go home and have some days off.
It's the people. I work in fundraising, and that environment (in other companies) can be competitive, but we are not. Genuinely nice inside my department, and interactions across the college are excellent as well. No one is rude or difficult.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Leadership lies and deceive students into filing false reports against their teachers. The union does absolutely nothing to protect its membership. My fear is it someone's going to get a gun and use it.
HR policies and decisions are widely understood to be laughable
