Better delivers a highly supportive and engaging experience to stop and reverse type 2 diabetes and heart disease by changing the way you think, eat and live.
Eat whole foods. Mostly plants.
The single most important thing you can do to improve your health and kick the meds is to change the way you eat. It starts by replacing highly processed foods andanimal-based foods (like meat & cheese)with wholesome, whole foods. Then, you increase the proportion of whole foods you eat that come from plants.
Move your body.
Being physically active strengthens the heart and body, lowers inflammation, and improves the way you feel. This includes activities like brisk walking, biking, and even dancing. Being physically active will become second nature, and no longer a chore.
Gain new skills and a new mindset.
You will develop new skills designed with learning principles developed to teach adults new languages. These skills will be prioritized based on their predicted impact on your condition.
Monitor your progress daily.
During the program, you will be prompted to enter important measures like blood sugar if you have diabetes, or blood pressure if you have hypertension. You will report the achievement of daily and weekly goals for plant-based meals consumed and activity completed, and will enter any changes in medications or medication dosage.
