Shaun Lynn — President at BGC Partners

Mr. Shaun D. Lynn has been the President of BGC Partners, Inc. (Formerly eSpeed Inc.) since April 1, 2008. Mr. Lynn co-founded BGC in October 2004. Mr. Lynn oversees the BGC Partners??? corporate functions including finance, risk management, technology, legal & compliance, human resources and communications. An experienced and authoritative financial professional, Mr. Lynn promotes BGC's thought leadership as a preeminent global inter-dealer broker to wholesale market participants worldwide. Mr. Lynn provides leadership to position BGC at the forefront of the global inter-dealer brokerage sector. He is responsible with his management team for the BGC Partners??? operations globally and for the direction and development of BGC's proprietary technology. Mr. Lynn serves as the President of BGC Brokers L.P. Mr. Lynn has been the President at BGC Group, including BGCI, since 2004. Mr. Lynn is responsible for expanding BGC's existing broking businesses across Europe and Asia. He served as President of BGC Partners L.P. since 2004. Mr. Lynn served as Executive Managing Director of BGC International (formerly, Cantor Fitzgerald International International) from 2002 to 2004, where he held management positions of increasing responsibility including leading its Eurobond desk after joining that firm in 1989 as a German Govt Bond broker. Mr. Lynn served as Senior Managing Director of European Government Bonds and Managing Director of Fixed Income from 1999 to 2002 for BGCI. Mr. Lynn began his career at Cantor Fitzgerald in 1989 as a Bund broker, moving up to lead the Eurobond desk before assuming his first senior management role. From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Lynn held various business management positions at Cantor and its affiliates. Mr. Lynn began his career in capital markets in 1980. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald in 1989, he served as a Desk Head for Fundamental Brokers International in 1989 and was Associate Director in charge of broking at Purcell Graham Inc., from 1983 to 1989. Before that, Mr. Lynn was a UK equity dealer for Paul E Schweder Miller & Co. Mr. Lynn serves as on the Supervisory Board of the Electronic Liquidity Exchange. He served as a Director of GFI Group Inc. from February 26, 2014 to January 2016.
