What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop being manipulative ESPECIALLY in a DISTRICT MANAGER and STORE MANAGER position
They need to get better at being humane.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Getting paid a fair wage with a good medical benefit package as well as short time disability options and bonuses for good sales quarters.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The hostile work environments in stores are unbearable causing turnover and the egos woth higher ups
Pay is not competitive with other businesses in the area.
Big 5 needs to pay more to stay viable as a company. Over working and underpaying is getting old. They need to close stores so they can profit from giant sales of one store being open. Having more stores doesn’t guarantee more employee
They pay very low wages. A wage closer to what the competition pays would be better.
Minimum wage is too low and Big 5 associates need to be compensated more

The feeling that we all belong and are accepted.
It always felt like we were seeking a common goal; provide excellent customer service, upsale to meet sales goals, communicate store needs and execute tasks effectively to keep store running smoothly and positively.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The manipulation of staff at a lower tier and the constant lies within the store. Good workers get punished and poor quality workers get rewarded
Pay more than minimum wage to employees and give them the opportunity to make more based on performance evaluations.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The manager that interviewed me was direct and wanted to start a conversation because I already had the job after the first few minutes.
