Susan H. Alexander — Executive VP, Chief of Legal & Corporate Services and Corporate Secretary at Biogen

Ms. Susan H. Alexander, Esq. has been the Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary of Biogen Inc. since January 2006. Ms. Alexander has been Chief of Legal & Corporate Services of Biogen Inc. since March 25, 2017 and served as its Chief Legal Officer since December 2011 until March 25, 2017. She has been the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Biogen Idec Ma Inc. since January 2006. She served as General Counsel at Biogen Inc. from January 2006 to December 2011. Prior to joining Biogen in 2006, she served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Clerk of Parexel International Corporation since September 2003. She served as General Counsel and Secretary for IONA Technologies Ltd. since June 2001 until September 2003. She served as Counsel for Cabot Corporation since January 1995 until June 2001. Ms. Alexander served as a partner with the law firm of Hinckley Allen & Snyder of Boston, Massachusetts from 1990 to 1995. Prior to joining Hinckley Allen & Snyder, she served as a partner with the law firm of Fine & Ambrogne of Boston. she has over 35 years of corporate legal experience both from private law and general counsel positions in global med-tech, software and manufacturing companies. She has strong cross-functional legal, regulatory and senior management expertise to the Invacare board. She has been an Independent Director of Invacare Corporation December 1, 2016. Ms. Alexander holds J.D. from Boston University School of Law and received B.A. from Wellesley College.
