Executive Bio

Mike Ybarra was named a leader of Blizzard Entertainment in August 2021 and has served as its President since February 2022. In this role, Mike oversees development and operations.

Prior to his current role, Mike served as Executive Vice President & General Manager of Platform and Technology at Blizzard, where he was responsible for a 1400-person organization across Platform and Development Services. Prior to joining Blizzard, Mike spent 22 years at Microsoft. There he led management and development teams of several versions of Microsoft Windows before moving to Xbox, where he contributed to the business in a variety of ways. Mike’s experience at Microsoft included running a multibillion-dollar P&L service, leading a $300M games publishing business, and driving program management for the entire Xbox portfolio – Xbox 360, One, and X/S.
