Andrew Obenshain — Head of Europe & Senior VP at bluebird bio

Mr. Andrew Obenshain has been Senior Vice President and Head of Europe at bluebird bio, Inc. since December 2, 2016. Mr. Obenshain was employed at BA Venture Partners in the position of Associate. He worked at Shire in Paris, France where he was the General Manager of France and Benelux overseeing a portfolio including seven rare disease products. Prior to Shire, he spent eight years at Genzyme and Sanofi holding roles of increasing responsibility in business development, marketing and global commercial operations. He served as a Associate at Scale Venture Partners. Mr. Obenshain received his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and his BA in Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology from Dartmouth College.
