I was traumatized by the actions of my last RVP. She made me hate leadership and avoid it moving forward. My staff were immature, vindictive and downright mean. They lied to each other and lied to my mgr about my actions. The ONLY benefit of this role was the friendships that I made.
What did you like most about the interview process?
The speed of the process. Quick to make decisions.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
More support from upper management for disciplining disruptive employees
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know for a fact that in my 2 roles that I received less pay than my male predecessors. Equal pay for equal work.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am great friends with some of my co-managers and it helps that we can all relate to what each other has to deal with.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
There is no teamwork, it was "every man for himself". As some stores are unionized, there was no way to effectively reprimand bad behavior. Unless there is a way to get ride of "bad apples", there is no way to improve camaraderie.
