Mike Hiller — Chief Operating Officer - Designate at Builders FirstSource
Executive Bio
Mike Hiller is the Chief Operating Officer - Designate of Builders FirstSource. He partners closely with Chief Operating Officer Steve Herron to support operational performance, advance strategic initiatives, and ensure a seamless leadership transition ahead of Mr. Herron’s planned December 31, 2026, retirement. Mr. Hiller previously served as the company’s Chief Talent Officer, overseeing strategies to attract, assess, grow, and develop talent, as well as all other human resources functions. He also served as President of the Central Division, where he led day?to?day operations and administrative functions.
Mr. Hiller has more than 25 years of experience driving business development in the construction industry. Prior to the merger of Builders FirstSource and BMC, Mr. Hiller was Vice President of BMC’s Intermountain Region. In his previous roles at BMC, he served as Area Manager for Colorado and Utah, as well as Administrative Manager for the Utah market. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hiller worked for Komatsu Equipment, where he concluded his tenure as Corporate Controller. He also held accounting and operations roles with European Marble and Granite.
Mr. Hiller holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from the University of Utah and earned a Master of Business Administration and a graduate certificate in finance from Westminster University.
