When it comes to sustainability, Bunzl is committed to leading the way.
We know that our customers, suppliers and the societies in which our business operates around the world all want to find ways to protect our environment and to make better use of natural resources. As a leading distributor and not a manufacturer, Bunzl is not tied to any types of materials or products and we are therefore uniquely positioned to have a positive impact across the entire supply chain by having an objective overview of the best sustainability solutions for each customer.
That’s why sustainability is core to how Bunzl does business and how we’ll grow in the future. It’s not because being green is fashionable – it’s because it makes the utmost business sense. From sourcing products in an ethical and responsible way, to consolidating them in an environmentally efficient operating model, our approach helps us to minimize risk while maximizing value.
Our goal is for Bunzl to be seen as a socially and environmentally responsible organization that inspires and implements solutions that protect the environment, while being commercially successful for our employees and shareholders.
Carbon Reduction
Bunzl has a Carbon Reduction Roadmap. Our goal is to transition away from ICE cars and diesel CMVs by 2030. By that time, our plan is to have a fully electric fleet in terms of company cars and CMVs.
CMA
Bunzl has partnered with the Compost Manufacturing Alliance (CMA) to create and vet compostable foodservice items that work within the larger commercial composting system.
Bunzl is proud to sponsor a St. Louis Area Scholarship program in partnership with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc. The vision of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, Inc. is that African Americans and others in the St. Louis region will have the opportunity to create economically self-sufficient lives in communities that are flourishing with opportunity and growth. Our Educational Quality and Equality strategy is ensuring that all our children are well-educated and prepared for economic self-reliance in the 21st century.
