Executive Bio

Mr. Donald J. Meyer, also known as Don, has been Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking at Byline Bancorp, Inc. since August 2013. Mr. Meyer serves as Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking at Byline Bank. Prior to joining to Byline, Mr. Meyer was a co-founding Principal of Loan Management Solutions, a distressed loan consulting firm, from August 2009 to July 2013. Mr. Meyer served as Chief Executive Officer at American Mortgage Acceptance Company from 2008 to 2009. He joined American Mortgage Acceptance Company in July 1, 2008. Mr. Meyer served as Executive Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer of Centerline Capital Group from 2006 to 2009. He heads the Risk Policy Group, where his primary responsibilities include the oversight of all property and credit underwriting, transaction due diligence and insurance monitoring. Mr. Meyer has 29 years of real estate investment experience. He served as Executive Managing Director of Hunt Mortgage Group until August 12, 2009. He served as President and Chief Lending Officer of Capri Capital Finance, LLC. Prior to joining Centerline's predecessor, Mr. Meyer served as Chief Investment Officer of Capri Capital Advisors, LLC. Mr. Meyer's previous experience includes serving as Managing Director and head of the Capital Markets unit of Cohen Financial, a nationwide mortgage banking firm, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Capital Trust, a NYSE-listed mezzanine lender and 18 years at First National Bank of Chicago in a variety of assignments in real estate and corporate banking groups. During his time at First National Bank of Chicago, Mr. Meyer served as Senior Credit Officer for the bank's $7-billion loan portfolio, head of the real estate loan workout group in the early 1990's and head of the Corporate Investments unit responsible for high yielding real estate assets. He served as Trustee at American Mortgage Acceptance Company since July 1, 2008 and its Chairman of the Board since January 30, 2009. Mr. Meyer serves as a Director of Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, a non-profit organization providing home mortgage and financial education to potential home owners in low and moderate income neighborhoods. Mr. Meyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with Honors, from the University of Illinois.
