Dr. Ananth Naman has been the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Asia Pacific Region at Cabot Microelectronics Corporation since January 5, 2015 and served as its Vice President of Research and Development from January 6, 2011 to January 5, 2015. Dr. Naman has an extensive technical and leadership experience in a range of semiconductor materials and electronics related businesses. He originally joined Cabot Microelectronics in 2006 as Manager of Research and Development for its pad products. From 2006 to 2009, he provided key leadership to the successful development and commercialization of the Cabot Microelectronics's Epic(R) D100 pad. He served as Director of Product Development at Cabot Microelectronics's slurry products for polishing copper, barrier and tungsten, as well as for pads until January 2011. Prior to Cabot Microelectronics, Dr. Naman managed research and development efforts at Honeywell's Electronic Materials Division, focusing on wafer fab materials and semiconductor device packaging. Prior to that, he held positions in research and development at Seagate Technology, a global leader in hard disk drives. Dr. Naman received his BS, MS and PhD degrees in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.
