Mr. Justin O. Schmid has been Senior Vice President and General Manager of Telematics Solutions at CalAmp Corp. since March 2016. Mr. Schmid served as a Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at CalAmp Corp. from November 2012 to 2016. Mr. Schmid served as Vice President of Mobile & M2M at Sierra Wireless Inc. Mr. Schmid served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at AirLink Communications, Inc. Mr. Schmid holds over 16 years of experience and a strong reputation in the wireless and high-technology industries. Through his senior management and director-level positions at Motorola, Novatel Wireless, AirPrime and most recently, Sierra Wireless, Mr. Schmid has touched all facets of the business including engineering, product development, marketing, sales, product management and business development. Mr. Schmid focuses on AirLink's strategic growth and positioning as well as setting core business/product direction. Prior to joining AirLink, Mr. Schmid served as the Marketing Director for the embedded modules business at Sierra Wireless and was responsible for its product management, business development, strategic initiatives and partnership development/management for its growing business segment. Before Sierra Wireless, as Director of Marketing and Business Development for AirPrime Inc., Mr. Schmid built and led the marketing, product management and business development teams and drove associated responsibilities. Mr. Schmid also worked for Novatel Wireless as a Director of Product Management and Strategic Business Development where he was hand-picked by the Chief Executive Officer and BoD for an elite team responsible for business relationships and account development with top worldwide platform & device developers and manufacturers. Mr. Schmid has spoken at various industry conferences and participated in panels focused on wireless wide area networking technologies and markets. Mr. Schmid was nominated for and participated in the Next Generation Leaders Exclusive program that recognizes personnel for future executive assignments, promotions and considerations. Mr. Schmid graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1987 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
