Janet A. Carr — Senior Vice President of Global Business Development at Caleres

Ms. Janet A. Carr has been Senior Vice President of Global Business Development at Caleres, Inc. since February 22, 2016. Ms. Carr joined Caleres in 2016 and is responsible for identifying opportunities for global business expansion for several of Caleres' key brands. Prior to her role with Caleres, she was with Nine West Group where she served as president of the handbag division and Executive Vice President of Strategy. She served as Senior Vice President of Consumer Insights and Strategic Planning at Coach, Inc. since October 11, 2005. She served as Vice President, Consumer Insights and Strategic Planning for Gap International at Gap Inc. At Gap, Ms. Carr was responsible for focusing on business performance and consumer needs and identifying practical strategies to drive financial results for Asia, Europe and strategic alliances across all three Gap brands. She served as Vice President, Strategy and Business Development of Banana Republic. Ms. Carr was the Vice President, Corporate Pricing at Safeway. She joined Safeway from Booz-Allen Hamilton, where she was a Principal in the Consumer Products and Retail Group. She has a BA in Zoology and an MA in Biology from San Jose State University and an MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Business of Cornell University.
