He served as the Managing Director of Canon Inc. since March 2005. He served as the President of Canon U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. since April 1, 2005. He served as the President of Canon (China) Co Ltd. since March 2001 and also served its Chief Executive Officer. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Canon Hong Kong of Canon Inc. since 2001. Mr. Adachi joined Canon Inc. in 1970 and worked at Canon U.S.A. from 1978 to 1992. He returned to Canon Inc. in 1992 and served as General Manager of the Photo Products Marketing Management Division since 1993. Since 1997, he served as Deputy Group Executive of the Photo Products Group. In 1998, he served as the President of Canon Canada Inc. He has been the Chairman of the Board and Director of Canon U.S.A. Inc. since April 1, 2014. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Canon Business Solutions Inc. and Canon Canada Inc., subsidiaries of Canon U.S.A., Inc. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Canon Singapore Pte Ltd. and Canon HongKong Co. Ltd. since March 2001. He served as a Director of Canon Inc. since March 2001. Mr. Adachi served as a Director of Canon Singapore Pte Ltd. and Canon HongKong Co. Ltd.
