Capital Power Company Overview
Capital Power Corporation is incorporated in 2009. It is an independent power producer, acquires, develops, and operates power generation facilities in Canada and the United States. It generates power through natural gas, coal, wind, solar, and hydro energy sources. The company has interests in 16 facilities with approximately 3,300 megawatts of power generation capacity, as well as 487 megawatts of owned wind generation capacity under construction in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. It also maintains rights to 371 megawatts of capacity through power purchase arrangements in Alberta.
