Mr. Robert Derek Newell has been the President of Castlight Health, Inc. since April 3, 2017. Mr. Newell served as the Chief Executive Officer of Jiff, Inc. since March 15, 2012 until April 2017. Mr. Newell served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Health Hero Network Inc., since March 1, 2007. He served as the Vice President of Commercial Accounts at Life masters Supported Selfcare Inc. He served as the Vice President of Outcomes Measurement & Product Management at Life Masters. Mr. Newell served as a Vice President of Product Management at WebOS, where he was responsible for all aspects of product management including product design and specification, market assessment, viability testing and bringing the product to market. Mr. Newell co-founded HT3. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Robert Bosch Healthcare Systems, Inc. since March 1, 2007 and also served as its Vice President. Mr. Newell served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Client Relationships at LifeMasters Supported SelfCare, Inc. He served as Chief Executive Officer of remote patient monitoring company Health Hero Networks, which sold to Bosch in 2007. Mr. Newell served as the Head of Business Analysis for one of the largest medical groups in California. He started his career serving as an Advisor to both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the design, implementation and evaluation of health-related infrastructure projects in Southern Africa. Mr. Newell has a strong background in healthcare finance and has co developed and taught healthcare finance classes at the Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley). Mr. Newell has more than 20 years of healthcare and technology experience with expertise in technology, sales, marketing and finance. He has been a Non-Executive Director of WANDA, Inc. since September 7, 2016. He has been a Director of Health Hero Network Inc., since March 1, 2007. He has been a Director of Castlight Health, Inc. since April 3, 2017. Mr. Newell serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Psilos Group Managers, LLC and of CrestPoint Solutions, Inc. He served as a Director of Robert Bosch Healthcare, Inc. since March 1, 2007. Mr. Newell has a Masters of Business Administration, with an emphasis in Healthcare Finance and a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration, both from the University of California at Berkeley.
