We fixed a bug that prevented users from saving game properties on the second game of a double-header.
We resolved an issue that caused the Offline Import tool to err while on Windows version 1903 or 1909.
Known Issues
The application will crash if the Transcode Queue Tool is closed while auto-refreshing.
Edits with 1080i media must-have game properties set in order to use Export for Trade.
Add View to Split Master
Baseball and softball users have the ability to add a view to a previously logged and split game. This will allow users to add an additional camera feed to a game that they had previously live captured. This additional angle could be a program feed from a broadcaster or a stand-alone camera that gets set on the top of the dugout. Processing time will be fastest when all frame rates (FPS) match, otherwise Thunder will automatically transcode the media during import to allow for frame-accurate multi-angle playback.
The process very similar to our Offline Import workflow - users are required to set a sync point on the target game and a sync point and angle name for each new video file being added. Once all required fields are set users kick off the run process and walk away. When the process is complete the new view is available to use in Thunder. If needed, users have the ability to remove the view.
Synergy Field Mappings
Users now have the ability to map data fields provided by Synergy to their Thunder data fields. This means that any new Synergy fields will automatically appear in the mapping tool and users will be prompted of their addition. They can then create the new field or map it to an existing one. To help our users - we've gone ahead and mapped our previously hardcoded values in the tool. Any modifications made after the upgrade are maintained in the database - which allows users to configure their mappings once and maintain thereafter.
We continue to utilize internal calculations for some of the Synergy data fields - so not all Synergy provided data fields will be displayed in the mapping tool. This ensures the proper parsing of game, team and player information during the import process.
120 FPS capture and playback
Users can now live capture and playback 120 FPS camera media in Thunder and Windows Universal. Users will benefit from higher frame rate video playback when using Thunder connected or downloaded media. However, it’s important to note that since initial support is only available for live capture and playback. As a result - the following restraints are in place.
If users attempt to import or export 120 FPS media they’ll be prompted to transcode due to updates required for our primary media processing path. This means 120 FPS media will need to be downgraded to 30 FPS or 60 FPS when clean mastering or exporting captured media for trade.
We've blocked the ability to add a new view to a 120 FPS captured game - even if the media has a matching FPS.
ThunderCloud streaming media will playback at 30 FPS - which is our native streaming frame rate.

Live capture feed - Must be 720p
1080 feeds will not play on the IPad - iOS limitation
Black Magic H.264 Pro Recorder
Aja Up Down Cross Converter is recommended to ensure a 720p Feed. This device also provides a freeze frame buffer to eliminate capture finalization if a video signal is temporarily dropped
A wifi router for the iPad(s) to connect to, on the same network as the capture laptop.
This can be accomplished by connecting the NETGEAR router via ethernet to the Cisco R325 switch via ports 1-14. The NETGEAR router will get ethernet plugged into any of the numbered ports (note: not the yellow internet port).
Without using a Cisco switch and NETGEAR router, users may also be able to use the network inside the arena provided that there is an ethernet connection to the house network for the capture machine to plug into and the arena’s wifi network is on the same network and IP Scheme as the ethernet connection.
(Pictured: Yellow ethernet cable to the far right is providing internet to the Cisco Switch via the WAN
port. The yellow ethernet in the middle is going to the NETGEAR wireless access point in one of the
numbered ports NOT in the yellow internet port. The other ethernet cables are going to client laptops
including the capture machine).
The capture laptop must be connected to the network via ethernet, wifi for the capture laptop to
connect is not supported.
For wifi credentials of the XOS issued NETGEAR wireless access point please contact XOS Support at 800-

Prior to Starting a Capture:
Navigate to Capture tab and select ‘Capture Settings’. From Capture settings check ‘Enable iBench’,
provide a stream name (whatever you want it to be called) and check ‘Primary iBench Server’.
Apply and select OK.
Next step is to find the IP address of the capture machine. In order to do this, open a command prompt
from the search or start button. Type in “ipconfig” and hit enter. Note the IPv4 Address.
Example:
On The IPad:
Once a capture has been started, users can then go to the ThunderCloud app on their iPads. Instead of
logging in with TC credentials, the user will select “Imported Media”.
Once inside the Imported Media section, select iBench and then tap the camera icon in the top left.
Hit the “+” icon next to “Done” and type in the IP address of the capture machine followed by :81.
(example: http://172.16.101.105:81). Next hit “Save”.
Once entered and saved, select the IP address under “Streaming Servers”.
Next select the current capture. The IPad will store your 5 last captures, with the most recent capture at the top.
At this point users can watch the capture from the iPad and make flags or rewind to previous points in
the video. The flags created in iBench do not go to the capture machine as it does with iBench Plus
(extra cost). Likewise, clip types created on the capture machine do not get sent to iPads the way it does
in iBench Plus. To get back to live, users can press the “Live” icon. When the icon is green, the video is
live, when red the video is at an earlier point.

New Features
We’ve added the ability to export master data to Catapult OpenField.
We’ve created a Thunder Backup & Recovery product that will allow subscribers to automatically backup their Thunder databases and media. This requires a product subscription, mirrored hardware and a network upgrade.
Updates
We’ve removed the limit of 975 playfields.
We’ve improved performance for publishing calculated fields.
We’ve added a Lookup Values menu to assist while creating a calculated fields and Game Analysis reports.
We’ve added an option in the Player Driven Search tool to select all teams and all seasons.
We’ve updated the GSIS Resolver to set the Used By Game Property correctly.
We removed the Coach Tablet option from the Data Entry section of Coaches Station.
Bug Fixes
We corrected an error that occurred while importing raw files that were inside the wrong MP4 wrapper.
We fixed an issue that caused a green overlay to appear after accessing video through the pop-up media player.
We’ve updated the FPS check tool to update media metadata to optimize edit load times.
Export JSON to OpenField
Users can export Thunder masters and metadata to a JSON file that can be imported to Catapult OpenField to auto-generate periods. Exporting requires that all masters have UTC metadata.
Users should select all of the Thunder masters that they’d like to export, right click then choose Export Open Field JSON.
Users will then be prompted to select a Headings Group to export. This will include all of the metadata associated to the fields in the heading group for the master in the resulting JSON.
Users will then have an option to rename the Thunder master to identify the practice period for OpenField.
It’s recommended to identify each master by the period type. For example, OFF 7 on 7.
Removing redundant information from the master name (ie. date, practice number) will allow OpenField to search across period types.
Lookup Values
We’ve added a Lookup Valuesbutton to our Query Criteria window which is used when creating calculated fields and within Game Analysis.
This menu will allow users to select a playfield value and display all of values entered into it.
Users can then click on the values, which will add them to their computers clipboard. These values can then be pasted into the Query Criteria window.

PROBLEM:
XOS Identified a high number of issues regarding Surge, Thunder Sync, and launching the Exchange Agent after a Windows Update.
SOLUTION:
XOS added more tasks to the XOS Restricted User Setup Tool to apply many of the fixes for the above problems programatically. The original purpose of the XOS Restricted User Setup Tool was to allow non-admin users the proper permissions to use Thunder. That is still needed, but the utility is useful for all Thunder users.
The Restricted User Setup Tool now performs the additional tasks
Opens needed Firewall Ports
Changes the Thunder network from Public to Private.
Corrects the registry permissions for the Inaccessible Logs: State error (only on Win 10 1809)
HOW TO EXECUTE:
Click Start
Search Restricted
Hover over the XOS Restricted User Setup Tool (could also Right Click the XOS Restricted User Setup Tool
Select Run As Administrator
Click Assign Permissions
EXAMPLES of fixes.
Exchange Agent won't launch
Anytime you see a permissions error, run the Restricted Users Setup Tool
Network Type is Public
Surge - Files are downloading / Uploading
Surge - Client is unavailable when trying to send a Surge Set
If you know they are online, run the utility and restart
