Ms. Peyton R. Howell, MHA, has been an Executive Vice President of AmerisourceBergen Corporation since November 2014 and has been its President of Health Systems & Specialty Care Solutions since June 2017. Ms. Howell served as President of Health Systems, Physician Practices & Strategic Health Solutions of AmerisourceBergen Corporation since June 2017 until September 22, 2017. Ms. Howell served as President of Global Sourcing and Manufacturer Relations at Amerisourcebergen Corporation since November 2014 until June 2017. At Amerisourcebergen, Ms. Howell led manufacturer strategy and sourcing including brand, generic, specialty and consumer product purchasing of nearly $100 Billion. As part of this role, she was leading the creation of AmerisourceBergen Global Manufacturer Services GmbH. Ms. Howell served as Senior Vice President of Amerisourcebergen Corporation since December 5, 2012. She served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development and President of Consulting Services at Amerisourcebergen Corporation from May 2010 to December 5, 2012. Ms. Howell served as President of Consulting Services and Health Policy at AmerisourceBergen Corporation since October 2007 until May 2010. Ms. Howell leads a multidisciplinary team of pharmacoeconomic, reimbursement and policy experts, who provide integrated commercial support from early-stage development through product maturity. She has 25 years of reimbursement experience and supports health policy issues for AmerisourceBergen. She served as President at The Lash Group, Inc. (Lash Group Healthcare Consultants), a unit of AmerisourceBergen Corp. Ms. Howell founded Lash Group in 1991 which became part of AmerisourceBergen in 1998. She serves as Member of Pharmaceutical Advisory Board at SCM World Limited. She has been Trustee of Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy since July 2011. Her Civic/volunteer activities Includes: Chair of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation annual fund raiser; Secretary/Treasurer of Patient Access Network Foundation; Board of Advisors at Charlotte Chamber; Executive Committee for entrepreneurial leadership circle, McColl Graduate School of Business and executive-in-residence 2005 to 2006 at Queens University; Board of Advisors at Providence Day School; member of various health-care organizations. Ms. Howell is a national speaker and author on pharmaceutical commercialization strategy and health policy related issues including Medicare policy, health reform and issues of patient access to care. Ms. Howell is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP). Her honors include being recognized as the 2004 Charlotte (NC) Businesswoman of the Year and she received a 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award from The Ohio State University. Ms. Howell has B.A. from University of Illinois in 1988 and Master's in Health Administration from Ohio State University in 1990.
